A lab without IT today just doesn’t work!

For years, we have been supporting laboratories in the IT field and helping to bridge the two worlds – substantive and technical.

On February 26 this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the 1st Safe Laboratory 2026 Conference, organized by the Polish Training and Consulting Center PCSK Ltd. Of course, we would like to thank PHU “Syl-Chem” Sylwia Kunca for the meeting, mega positive energy and the opportunity to share with the participants of the event our experience in the area of laboratory security from the IT side.

It is well known that today’s laboratories operate in an environment of increasing systems, integrations and audit requirements. At the same time, the amount of data generated during testing and the number of places where it is processed and analyzed is increasing. In such a reality, it is not only the analysis itself that is becoming increasingly important, but also the consistency, traceability and control of the data behind it.

LIMS to guard laboratories

During the presentation “LIMS to guard laboratories,” Bartosz Przekowiak spoke about the role of data in the stability and reliability of laboratory work, and highlighted several areas that are important for the safety and continuity of laboratory work.

First – a single, controlled location for storing results and metadata.
Second – the ability to recreate the history of changes: who, what, when and why they changed.
Third – conscious management of user access and roles.
On top of that, there is the consistency of versions of methods, specifications or reports, and real readiness to recreate data in an incident situation.

In practice, this means moving away from scattered data sources to structured information, in which a laboratory result is not just a number in a report, but an element of a process that can be traced and documented.

This approach is increasingly becoming the foundation of modern laboratories, especially where reproducibility, compliance with audit requirements and full traceability of results are important.

LIMSNG, our proprietary program for laboratories, also grew out of such an outlook. We create it as a system that, in addition to supporting laboratory work, helps keep the data layer in order: it centralizes information, allows you to control changes and allows you to trace the entire history of work with the result.

It was a pleasure to participate in the conference and share our experience in connecting the world of laboratories and information systems.
